Terms of Use & License Agreement

These terms govern your purchase and use of Calmoniq Desktop ("the App"), provided by Calmoniq ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. Licence

When you buy a licence, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime licence to install and use the App on computers you own or control, up to the activation limit shown at purchase. The App and its code remain our property; this is a licence, not a sale of the software itself.

2. What you may not do

You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the App or your licence key; share your licence key publicly; or attempt to bypass licence activation. You may not reverse-engineer the App except to the extent that law expressly permits.

3. Your data

The App stores your financial information in an encrypted file on your own device. We do not receive, store, or have access to that data. You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery key, and backups safe. We cannot recover your data or your password if they are lost. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Not financial advice

The App is an organizing and estimating tool for educational and personal-planning purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Tax figures and limits are estimates based on published rates and may be out of date or incorrect. Always verify against official sources (such as canada.ca and your Notice of Assessment) and consult a professional before making decisions.

5. Updates

We aim to provide updates, including yearly updates reflecting Canadian tax-rule changes, for the current major version. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Major new versions may be offered as separate paid upgrades.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. To request a refund, contact support@calmoniq.com with your order email.

7. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including financial losses or decisions made using the App.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your province or territory.
